Moonstone Bass

Postby swesob » Wed Dec 17, 2008 1:10 pm

Just picked up my new Lado bass, the Moonstone. I am told there is only two of these within Sweden - making it a pretty rare instrument!

I don't however know anything else about this bass, except that it is older than -86 (from an old sticker on the back of the head) and it is built in Canada. The serial number is CDN CONDOR-2-052.

It´s the first I´ve heard of Lado actually. I walked into my local music shop and it blew me away. After six months of staring and trying it out, I finally bought it. It would be fun to know how old it is, though. Does anyone know if Lado has any chronologic serial number system?

just by looking at the hardware I'd estimate it's an early eighties bass... probably some where around 82/83 give or take a year.
